About AcceptsEBT.com

AcceptsEBT.com is a free tool that helps you find grocery stores and retailers that accept EBT — the card SNAP benefits (food stamps) come on. Every store we list comes straight from the U.S. government's own data, so you can trust that these are places your card actually works.

Where Our Data Comes From

Our store listings are built from the USDA SNAP Retailer Locator — the official list of stores authorized to accept EBT, maintained by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food and Nutrition Service (FNS). That's about 250,000 authorized locations nationwide, from big supermarkets to corner stores and farmers markets.

The USDA data is public domain. We organize it by state, city, and store brand so you can find what's near you without digging through a giant database.

How Often the Data Refreshes

The USDA updates its retailer list regularly, and we refresh our listings from that source about every three months (quarterly). Stores open and close, so a listing is a strong signal — not a live guarantee. If you ever find a store that has closed or a listing that looks wrong, the thumbs-up / thumbs-down button at the bottom of any page lets you tell us, and we re-check it against USDA records.

What This Site Does Not Do

Who It's For

Anyone using an EBT card who wants a quick, honest answer to "where can I use this?" — whether you're new to SNAP or have used it for years. If you're just getting started, our EBT guides walk through using your card, what foods qualify, and how to apply.
